A TMEPA membership puts your organization directly in front of Tennessee’s public power decision-makers while providing valuable opportunities to build relationships, increase visibility, and grow your business throughout the year.
Since 1966, TMEPA has been the trusted voice of community-owned electric power across Tennessee. For more than 60 years, we have worked to ensure municipal and county electric systems can serve their communities safely, reliably, and affordably.
Today, TMEPA represents 60 public power systems—from the state’s largest utilities to its smallest—collectively serving more than two-thirds of Tennesseans. What unites our members is local governance, local leadership, and a shared commitment to the communities they serve.
Through strong legislative and regulatory advocacy, experienced leadership, and a dedicated staff, TMEPA ensures public power has a seat at the table when decisions are made that impact our systems and customers. Our conferences, educational programs, and networking events bring utility and associate members together to share ideas, explore new opportunities, and build lasting partnerships.
