Manager of Finance & Accounting
Newport Utilities is actively seeking a Manager of Finance & Accounting. The role of this position is to maintain responsibility for all financial information to external (i.e., banks and TVA) and internal (i.e., Board of Directors and General Managers) bodies. This is inclusive of budgeting, financial planning, investments, reports, rate design, audits, and tax preparation for the Electric, Broadband, Water, and Wastewater departments.
This individual also supervises Accounting and Bookkeeping services. Must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, plus a minimum of ten years of experience of increased responsibility in Finance & Accounting Administration. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License preferred. Principles and practices of the utility industry preferred. Financial management information systems required, preferably in the utility industry. Must possess and maintain a valid TN driver’s license. Excellent benefit package and salary commensurate with qualifications.
